Classically trained, Michael is a vastly experienced composer, orchestrator and conductor who holds a Doctorate in composition (Leeds) in addition to numerous Fellowship awards. His catalogue of chamber music is published globally and he has been fortunate to receive three Royal Premieres, in addition to several broadcasts on national radio and television. In 2010, he orchestrated numerous tracks for the Columbia Artists US touring show Celtic Circle before becoming increasingly in demand for production music. Most notably he composed the winning entry to the ThinkSpace Trailer Competition (‘The Edge’). In 2017, he received recognition for his scores to the dark drama ‘Hookworm’ (BFI premiere) and 'Beyond the Horizon' (RTS Nomination). Michael's catalogue of library music is available to industry through EMI, BMG and Platinum Music, and has received placements on a number of primetime productions (BBC, ITV, Prime Video, Netflix, FX, Hulu, CBS, FOX). More recently Michael has scored the comedy ‘The Witch Hunters are Coming’, the family feature ‘Skullz’ (Sky, Amazon, iTunes) and the horror 'Harvest of the Dead: Halloween Night', in addition to serving as Music Editor on the feature ‘Dead Fred’ (Sky, Amazon, iTunes). 2021 will see Michael score the WW1 feature SOMME16 working with Director Steve Davis.
