Welcome to the Short Sounds Film Festival 2021!
This year’s Short Sounds has arrived and is entirely online (for obvious reasons that I won’t bore you with here)! We are delighted to present a packed line-up of short films, movies, guest talks and panels, celebrating all things cinema with our usual emphasis on the unique crafts of sound design and film scoring. It’s been a joy to catch up with festival friends old and new, from Rupert Gregson-Williams fresh from scoring Aquaman to the effervescent Ken Loach still as creatively fearsome as ever.
Whilst we of course will miss the sanctuary of our regular venue at Pavilion Dance Bournemouth, our new online platform will provide you with an opportunity to pick-n-mix from our curated content and guest speaker sessions to create your own unique festival experience that fits around your timetable.
The festival will be live from 12noon on the 25th Feb culminating with the award ceremony at 7pm (GMT) on Sunday 28th Feb. Our curated program of shorts and movies will only be available for the duration of the festival however guest speaker sessions will remain active for future watching throughout March.
So without further ado, I invite you to settle down, turn the volume up and let your eyes and ears indulge in the delights of the Short Sounds Film Festival 2021.
